POOR MANS LOBSTER ROLL

If you are in the north and have the opportunity to fish for Burbot this recipe is everything food should be. Simple, tasteful, visually appealing, and full of experiences.


WHAT YOU NEED:

  1. FRESH BURBOT

  2. SALT

  3. PEPPER

  4. CAYENNE PEPPER

  5. BUTTER

  6. CELERY

  7. GARLIC (crushed and diced)

  8. JALAPENO

  9. GREEN ONION

  10. MAYONNAISE

  11. BUTTER ROLL

WHAT TO DO:

  1. Catch fresh burbot

  2. Slice burbot into roughly 1 inch pieces

  3. Soak burbot in salt water ( use generous amount of salt for water but also keep in mind if butter is unsalted or not and how much fish you got as burbot absorbs a lot of the flavour)

  4. Get a frying pan on medium heat with a generous amount of butter and add the chopped garlic

  5. Take burbot out of salt water and add to the frying pan with melted butter and garlic

  6. Cook burbot until pieces are firm and white.

  7. Slice your celery, jalapeƱo, and green onions and add to big mixing bowl

  8. Add burbot to mixing bowl

  9. Add black pepper and cayenne pepper to mixing bowl on top of all ingrediants

  10. Add mayonnaise to mixing bowl covering all ingredients ( same consistancy as egg salad)

  11. Slice and toast your butter roll until out side is golden brown and inside is still soft

  12. Add Poor mans lobster mix into your bun

  13. Serve and enjoy
