Hawaiian deer sliders

This recipe is a take on the party favourite and never disappointing “ bar sliders'“



WHAT YOU NEED

  • ROAST OF DEER OR FAVOURITE VENISON

  • CROCK POT OR SMOKER

  • BROWN SUGAR BBQ SAUCE

  • HOT SAUCE

  • PINEAPPLE

  • SWISS CHEESE

  • HAWAIIAN BREAD ROLLS

  • CRACKED PEPPER

  • FENNEL

  • STEAK SPICE

  • ROCK SALT ( e.g. sea, celtic, himalayan)

  • MAYONNAISIE

  • MUSTER SEED SPREAD

WHAT TO DO

  1. SALT AND PEPPER VENISON ROAST

  2. PLACE ROAST IN CROCK POT

  3. POUR BBQ SAUCE ONTOP OF ROAST

  4. PLACE FENNEL AND STEAK SPICE ONTOP OF ROAST

  5. PUT LID ON AND SET CROCK POT ON LOW FOR 8HRS

  6. AFTER 8HRS IN CROCK POT PULL ROAST OUT AND PULL APART

  7. SET PULLED VENISON ROAST BACK IN CROCK POT AND LET SIT ON LOW FOR 1HR IN SAUCE

  8. PREPARE HAWAIIAN BREAD ROLLS

  • cut rolls so that you have a top and bottom

  • spread mayonnaise, and mustard seed on bun faces

  • place bottom halves of bread rolls in oven safe baking dish

9. REMOVE PULLED VENISON FROM CROCK POT AND DO ANY LAST MINUTE ADJUSTMENTS

10. PLACE PULLED VENISON ON HAWAIIAN BREAD ROLLS

11. PLACE SLICED PINEAPPLE ONTOP OF PULLED VENISON

12. ADD SWISS CHEESE SLICES

13. PLACE TOP HALF OF HAWAIIAN BREAD ROLL ON TOP CREATING A CLOSED SANDWICH.

14. POUR 1/2 CUP OF MELTED BUTTER ON TOP OF SANDWICHES

15. PUT TINFOIL OVER SLIDERS

16. BAKE SLIDERS IN A 350 DEGREE OVEN FOR 12 MINS

17. REMOVE TINFOIL AND BROIL FOR 5 MINS OR UNTIL TOPS ARE GOLDEN BROWN

Serve with pickles
