This dish is easy, adjustable, tasty, and a true world classic with many cultures having their own take on it. Remember to catch wild and eat wild.


What you need

  • WILD TROUT

  • ROCK SALT ( e.g, sea, celtic, himalayan)

  • FRESH CRACKED PEPPER

  • FRESH DILL

  • LEMON

  • GARLIC

  • OLIVE OIL

  • BBQ/FIRE

  • TIN FOIL


WHAT TO DO

(for this recipe keep your fishes skin and head on. only make one cut on the belly to remove all the insides and so that it can be stuffed later on)

  1. CATCH AND CLEAN YOUR TROUT

  2. PAT TROUT DRY

  3. OIL FISH INSIDE AND OUT

  4. SALT AND PEPPER THE INSIDE AND OUT SIDE OF TROUT

  5. STUFF TROUT WITH DILL, SLICED LEMON, AND CHOPPED GARLIC

    ALSO ADD DILL, SLICED LEMON, AND CHOPPED GARLC ONTOP OF TROUT

  6. WRAP TROUT TIGHTLY WITH ALL INGREDIENTS IN TIN FOIL

  7. THROW FISH ONTO PRE HEATED BBQ OR COALS OF A FIRE

  8. LET COOK FOR 5-7MINS PER SIDE (Depending on heat and fish size)

  9. UNWRAP AND SERVE, SKIN SHOULD EASILY PEEL AWAY FROM MEAT

Serve with your favourite side salad and cold beer

This recipe can be adjusted in anyway necessary just keep your trout wild and add directly to heat source, no pan needed.
